Two new closures start Monday, October 12: 172nd Avenue in Grand Haven Township and North 144th Avenue in Holland Township both close for sewer and water work through October 23. Drivers on I-196 near Saugatuck should expect 15-minute traffic stoppages in both directions between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights. The 48th Avenue and Baldwin Street roundabout in Georgetown Township is scheduled to finish Saturday, October 17, and East 8th Street in Holland stays closed for the Board of Public Works water main through the end of October. The 12th Avenue resurfacing in Georgetown Township moved back a week and now starts this week.

The Allegan County Road Commission directs drivers to its Facebook page for road project and maintenance updates. Its 2026 project list shows the culvert replacement and repair at 62nd Street and Blue Star Highway bid on September 16, with no construction dates posted. The closed section of Lakeshore Drive in Saugatuck Township stays closed while the Road Commission pursues federal grant funding to reconnect it.
