Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg share a harbor where the Grand River meets Lake Michigan, and locals have called the three towns the Tri-Cities for generations. Grand Haven has the pier, the lighthouse, the musical fountain on Dewey Hill and the Coast Guard Festival in August; Spring Lake has the lake it is named for and a village downtown; Ferrysburg sits between them on the north bank. The boardwalk, the state park beach and the bike paths tie the three together, and so do the Grand Haven Area Public Schools and Spring Lake Public Schools districts. This is the northern end of Mosaic's lakeshore.
Happening this week
The Tri-Cities' week comes from the Loutit District Library and Spring Lake District Library calendars, the Grand Haven Area Arts Council and the community center, the farmers market at Chinook Pier in season, and the downtown associations. The full week for the whole lakeshore is in the weekly events roundup, with each item marked by town.
