Ottawa County parks ask for their first increase in 30 years: $20 a year on a $100,000 taxable value

Year-round restrooms at Riley Trails and Paw Paw, plowed trails, more river access and $3 million for land. Voters renewed and restored the county parks millage in August; now the county asks for 0.2 mill more, which commissioners sent to the ballot on a 7-4 vote.

Vote early October 24 to November 1 at the site assigned to your town, or on November 3 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and register in person right through Election Day. Every early voting site in Ottawa County and the Allegan lakeshore, the races, Proposals 1 and 2, and local millages and bonds.
